Are guests allowed to bring in outside food and drink?
Yes, with the exception of alcoholic beverages and glass containers. Outside food and drink is not allowed inside the Beastro.
When are the train, carousel, playground, and splash pad open?
For your safety, all Utah’s Hogle Zoo attractions and play areas are seasonal and weather dependent. The train and playground cannot open when there is water, ice, or snow on the ground. The splash pad will be open when the weather is consistently warm, and the carousel will be open year-round based on daily attendance. Utah’s Hogle Zoo reserves the right to close or alter operations of any of these attractions at any time for any reason.
Is there a place for guests to eat their lunch?
Yes. We have numerous tables throughout the zoo grounds. These locations are held on a first come, first served basis.
Does Utah’s Hogle Zoo allow field trips?
Yes. Eligible schools can schedule a field trip for the spring or fall seasons on the “Education Programs” page, subject to availability. Utah’s Hogle Zoo does not offer free field trips for homeschool students. Bus parking can be found in our north parking lot, across the street from the main entrance.
Is there a group discount?
Yes. There is a group discount for groups of 20 or more paying people in the same transaction. Groups will receive $3 off the price of an adult ticket, and $2 off the price of a child ticket. Children ages 2 and under do not count toward the 20 paying individuals.
What forms of payment does Utah’s Hogle Zoo accept?
Utah’s Hogle Zoo accepts cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express. Utah’s Hogle Zoo does not accept personal checks, Apple Pay, or any form of crypto currency.
Are ATMs available?
Utah’s Hogle Zoo has three ATM’s on the grounds. The ATM’s are located within the gift shop, the Beastro, and in Oasis Cafe. Look for the “$” symbol on the digital zoo Map.
Does the zoo have wheelchairs available for rental?
Yes. We have both manual and electric wheelchairs for rent, along with strollers and wagons. Due to the limited availability, we are unable to reserve any of these items. Please see the “Rentals” page for pricing and more information.
COVID-19 FAQ’s
Do you require masks? Following CDC guidelines and recommendations to keep our guests safe, masks are now only required for those ages 3 and up who have not yet been vaccinated. Masks are required both indoors and outdoors for unvaccinated guests.
